Haiti was recently hit with the most devastating earthquake in that country's history. So far more than 112,000
residents in Haiti have died, and more than 250,000 are greatly injured. The country needs help and it needs it
fast.
Three weeks ago, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake rocked the country's 9 million people, destroying thousands of
homes,
roads and public utilities.
Other than food, water, medicine and doctors, what Haiti needs now is an efficient way of communicating with
family and friends that live outside of Haiti.
Sun Hosting's French subsidiary Hébergement Canada
is hosting for free the REHEP.org (Le Regroupement des Étudiants Haïtiens de l'École Polytechnique)
website and all their e-mails.
Located in Montreal, REHEP.org is a portal that facilitates Internet communications not just between Canada and
Haiti, but all over the world.
Among some of REHEP's mandate are:
Communicate with other non-profit Haitian associations and other universities
Communicate with organizations and businesses in Quebec
Information management on the Web, via Facebook, etc.
Prepare Montreal students in the rebuilding of Haiti
Communicate with the local Haitian government
Communicate with the AEP, the SEP and the management of École Polytechnique
Sun Hosting wants to help Haiti in rebuilding its country as fast as possible, and for us, hosting for free
the REHEP website
and all its e-mails is our way of helping Haiti.
