Sun Hosting's vice-president of operations for Africa Hervé Kenfack says that the company is continuing its rapid expansion
in the continent, and has now officially launched its activities in Cameroon, Gabon, the Central African Republic and Nigeria.
Kenfack is also responsible in the expansion and management of over 80 Sun Hosting-authorized resellers in Africa.
These efforts aim to provide these countries with reliable technical resources drawing on the in-depth expertise, know-how
and experience of Sun Hosting as Canada's leader in professional hosting services, dedicated servers and colocation services
across the globe. Each of Sun Hosting's data centers are capable of supporting thousands of Web servers and related hardware, both operating
under the Linux and Windows platforms. Sun Hosting has been in business since 1995 and intends to continue its growth, and this
expansion in Africa is further proof of our long-term commitment.
Among our broad customer base, approximately 23 percent of the internet properties we host are secure eCommerce websites,
B2B trading platform used by large eCommerce merchants, and organizations that need a secure way to do business on the Web.
Sun Hosting's Servers support over 325 million daily visits per week. Our servers currently store more than 46 terabytes of
storage directly connected to the internet. On any given day, Sun Hosting provides more than 4.5 terabytes of data for visitors
to our clients.
Our modern hosting installations dramatically increase the level of network redundancy that Sun Hosting can offer our corporate
clients, by adding additional fiber optic connections to our existing infrastructures.
Here are just some of the major features our data centers offer, the many configurations available and what gives
our hosting services the extra edge that a smaller hosting company simply cannot offer:
Automated diesel-powered generators
Multiple points of entry for fiber, electricity and generators
Full connectivity with n+3 redundancy
