Transfer your Domain Name to Sun Hosting

There are two fast and very easy methods of transferring your current domain name to Sun Hosting. The first is called a DNS transfer and will only take us a few minutes to accomplish.

With a DNS transfer, you will continue to renew your domain name with your current domain registrar, but your website and your email addresses will be hosted on our servers.

The second method is what's called a transfer of domain registrar. With this method, you will be renewing your domain with our registrar instead of your current one, and once the transfer is completed they will actually close your account.

If you prefer to keep things simple and to have everything "under one roof" then we would recommend you the second method. What's more, we do all of this for free, provided you sign up for an annual hosting account, paid one year in advance.

We've been doing this since 1995 and to date, Sun Hosting has transferred in excess of 20,000 domains from just about any extension available.

A DNS transfer usually takes about 12 to 24 hours to complete, sometimes less. A transfer of domain registrar usually will take anywhere from two to seven days to complete. Whichever method you decide, we will keep you posted of the status of your domain name with an e-mail notification.
