Transfer of Domain Name Registrar

The transfer of a domain name registrar is a very simple process and usually takes less than a week to complete.

The transfer of a domain name registrar is a very simple process and usually takes less than a week to complete.

Sun Hosting has been transferring domains since it started in business in 1995 and has the tools and the experience to make sure everything is done smoothly for you.

Once your domain has been transferred to Sun Hosting, it is our domain registrar that takes over and your account at your old registrar will be closed a few weeks later.

From then on, all your annual renewals will need to be done through Sun Hosting.

Please note that transfering your domain registrar isn't mandatory. You can still keep and continue to do business at your current registrar if you wish to do so.

Please note that transfering your domain registrar isn't mandatory. You can still keep and continue to do business at your current registrar if you wish to do so.

However, the DNS of your domain will still have to be changed to ours for your website and your emails to work properly. Transferring a registrar won't affect or change the DNS settings on your domain. They will still have to be changed, either by you or by us.

Sun Hosting can take care of all of that for you free of charge, or you can do it yourself using your control panel at your current domain registrar.

For any transfer of registrar to be successful, please note that the email address in the "Who Is" record needs to work properly, since an automated email will be sent to that address to authorize and start the transfer process.

This won't be possible unless the email address works, and that the person that will receive the email at the other end needs to authorize and validate the intial transferring process. If you're not sure how any of this works, simply contact us and we will be glad to help.

Sun Hosting is your one-stop destination for all new domain name registrations and Web hosting services.
